Davide Carbonare (born January 14, 2000, in Paris, France) is an Italian bassoonist currently active as a freelance musician.
He is pursuing a Solistendiplom at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK) under the guidance of Giorgio Mandolesi (since September 2025).
He completed his Master’s Degree in Performance of Classical and Contemporary Music at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) in Barcelona, where he studied with Guilhaume Santana and María José Rielo Blanco (2021–2023). Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor’s degree at the Conservatorio di Musica “Arrigo Pedrollo” in Vicenza under Steno Boesso (2019–2021), and briefly studied at the Hochschule für Musik Saar with Guilhaume Santana.

Davide has built a significant orchestral career, regularly performing as a guest principal bassoon with leading European ensembles. His collaborations include the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and Orchestra Filarmonica di Milano, where he has been a regular guest since 2019. He has also appeared with Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, and Teatro La Fenice.
In addition to his principal roles, he has performed as co-principal bassoon with the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès and held positions with ensembles such as Euskadiko Orkestra and Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini.
In 2023, Davide was awarded First Prize at the International Bassoon Competition “Gioacchino Rossini”, marking an important recognition in his artistic career.
